Historic Cave Tour
2-hour, 2-mile tour that combines an explanation of the geology and history of the caves. Reservations recommended.
Self-guided Big Room Tour
1-mile steep descent through the Natural Entrance into the Big Room. The paved walkway follows the traditional explorer's route and winds down 750 feet into the spectacular Big Room, which is 25 stories high and the size of 14 football fields.
Candlelight Tour
2-hour, fairly strenuous tour through less-developed, unlit parts of the cave. Each person on the tour carries a candle bucket as the original explorers did. The tour is limited to 10 people. Reservations should be made well in advance.
Luray Caverns
One-hour guided tour through cathedral-sized rooms filled with colorful stalactite and stalagmite formations. The highlight of the tour is hearing the Great Stalacpipe Organ play.
