Grecian Reef
1 1/2 hour boat trip out to Grecian Reef
Honaunau Beach
Lava beach on Honaunau Bay, adjacent to the National Park, with great snorkeling from either the boat launch or the lava rocks.
Darwin Bay
1-hour of snorkeling with dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays, and very colorful reef fish.
Puerto Egas
One of the strangest fish we saw just lying there hiding amongst some rocks was a hieroglyphic hawkfish, dressed in complete camo garb of stripes and bands, which actually do look a little like hieroglyphics.
Punta Vicente Roca
Today was definitely a very exciting snorkeling day. We saw giant sea tortoises feeding on the algae at the bottom, marine iguanas feeding on the red and green algae on the rocks, penguins speeding by
It was so exhilarating and the hour flew by, almost as quick as the penguins.
Tagus Cove
Wildest day yet with diving flightless cormorants, sea turtles, penguins zipping by, and colorful starfish
Urbina Bay
Snorkeling with the Sea Turtles
Gardner Bay
We saw lots of sea lions zipping about underwater, Mexican hogfish, Giant hawkfish, King angelfish, and more.
San Cristobal
Today’s snorkel was crazy with dozens of sea lions doing acrobatics in the water, zipping between our legs, swimming upside down, and so many other entertaining things. It was crazy and so exhilarating!
Malokini Snorkel Troup with PacWhale Adventures
Molokini Crater snorkeling tour with PacWhale, staffed with Cetified Marine Naturalists with degrees in marine biology. From Molokini Crater we moved on to our second snorkeling destination for the day, a turtle cleaning station in an area called Coral Gardens just north of Maalaea Bay.
