Our condo for our four-night stay in Kailua-Kona. Although a bit tired looking, the condo was well furnished and equipped with a full kitchen, complete with refrigerator, oven and stove, microwave, and coffee machine. The best part was the location. We were right on Alii Drive, the main drag through Kailua, and we had a view of the ocean and sunset from our deck.

Located a block in from the beach and one end of the Malecon. Our unit had a large kitchen and dining area with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stove, pots and pans, plates, glasses, etc. There is also a pool and a BBQ area.

Hotel with a unique Russian architecture along the stunning Mendocino Coast. Besides the hotel, there were several cottages and cabins situated on a hill above the hotel, some of which had balconies overlooking the ocean. We stayed in the Rose Cottage which had a breakfast nook, a sitting area with a Franklin Fireplace opening out to the sundeck overlooking the ocean, skylights, and a bedroom on the second floor looking down on the area below and also out to the ocean.

Beautiful Victoria Inn that is a fully-restored historic mansion dating back to 1885. It was amazing. Our room had 13-foot-high ceilings, period furniture and antiques, a cozy fireplace, and a bathroom larger than most people’s living rooms with a giant jacuzzi.

The Inn, which was originally a home built in 1892, had been fully restored as a luxurious boutique hotel. It was situated on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds, right in the historic district of Eugene.

We had Room #201, an upper floor corner unit with great views of Hana Bay from our lovely spacious, covered lanai. There was a well-stocked kitchen with a Koa wood bar with a pass-through window out to the lanai. We slept that night to the sound and feel of the tradewinds flowing through to our bedroom.

This hotel was originally part of the University of Canterbury campus and its tower housed the Townsend Telescope. Besides the tower, the old campus contained several Gothic Revival buildings, constructed in 1896. It was in a great location, in proximity to museums, the botanical garden, and lots of restaurants.
